Today when the class watched Punk: Attitude I thought that as Punk got into the 70's the people who liked the group and tried to copy the style went about it all the wrong way. The fans started to pierce their faces with safety pins. The musicians were not even doing that. I thought that was so disguesting and sick. If you really love a musician that much just get a tee-shirt with that band or artist on it, a hat, a trinket or something like that and call it a day. I just could not believe that people were actually putting safety pins in their cheeck like it was cool or something. That is just nasty. It's like do you donate your life to this or something like this.It seemed that the later it got in the decade the crazier Punk got. Artists were just basically screaming and doing ridiculous things. Groups had some of their shows cancelled because the places they were having them at, were scared they would do something crazy. An example was the Sex Pistols, on their first tour they only had 4 shows because some were cancelled. They were told not to piss on stage or stuff like that. That was crazy. It proved that some of the groups got ridiculous and some were just over exageratted. i don't think tht anyone or group is that rebellous or crazy to wild stuff that wild. That goes all sanitary rules and things. People could get sick from that or the group or person could lose many fans if they do stuff like that.
